Mike and Spike is our name and travel is our game!

My last name is Michael and I picked up my little Greek-born pup, when his original owners had to leave Greece due to the Greek crisis. They could only take his dad, Lefty. His brother was given away and I volunteered to take little one–Spike. Together, we held on to Greece until we could hold on no longer–hence we returned to America.

And in 2014, I took a hiatus from education and we hit the road as a professional driving team–Spike visited all 47 of the lower 48 and Canada to boot!

Adventurers we are. The open road became our second home! 

This time, we are Jeepers–Jeep, Jeep, beep, beep–making our journey across the United States with a mission: 

  • Highlight positivity
  • And of course, the educator in me is creating STEM/history content for asynchronous learning opportunities!

SPIKE

Spike was born in Athens, Greece. Kifissia to be exact—trained in Greek, English and German. He holds an EU passport. He has traveled to every contiguous state in the USA except North Dakota. He has been to Canada, France, the border of Mexico and the back roads of Morocco! Dude is a traveling dog!
