With the exception of meeting a new neighbor, today began pretty much like any other day. Spike unruffled himself from his warm fuzzy grey blanket and headed over to me and vocalized his desire to go out…at 0530. Spike had no concern that today was a holiday. His body still needed relief.
The difference…Spike came back to his very own bed in his very own pad. No more Jeep. No more roadside camp-outs. No more relatives’ and friends’ rules for where he can or cannot place his paw-prints. Spike is home!
Not only is he in his home. The big plus is that he got a new ride–a Smart-for-two. That’s right…a car for me and you [Spike]. Off the road, we are…for now–until next summer.
Thus, on this day, we have a lot to give thanks for given our new transition. But most of all, we’d like to thank all of those generous friends and supporters who made our journey across this nation possible:
