Have you ever wondered why Presidents get libraries named after them? Well, in our transition from horses to horsepower, we did some sightseeing around Little Rock and visited the grounds of President Clinton’s library.

This is what we learned about President libraries:
- Correction: 1939 – the first presidential library opens for President Roosevelt.
- 1962 – the earliest president on the list of presidential libraries, received his library post-mortem. It was opened for President Herbert Hoover in Iowa in 1962.
- Barack Obama has the only completely digital-documentation Presidential library with hard copies of important documents held elsewhere. His library is in Chicago.
- Correction: The most expensive library to date is a bit dubious based upon final costs, thus, President Obama’s privately funded library is currently topping $500 million.
Follow Spike’s paw-prints to Arkansas. It is worth the journey. The evening visit was fascinating as a light show and a very serene place to take a balmy southern-evening stroll.
