Wow! From Greece to Morocco, Spike has seen a lot of places. However, even he was in a state of wonderment when we visited downtown D.C. in all of its euphoria after the election. His expression speaks for itself.
Earlier that morning, we had received notice from an active-duty serviceman to curtail our travels and stay indoors…well, with a traveling dog, a warning is not very likely to keep us indoors, but then again, if we ended up in a crowd of people who turned to run, little one, would have little chance of coming out unscathed. So, we appreciated and heeded the warning–to some degree…
…after the first election results, we strategized and planned an evening-in-and-out visit to the nation’s capital. It was a bit eerie walking on empty and barricaded streets. We made our way to a center vein of action where Spike met a young Indian-American couple. They praised his attentiveness to the crowd and the surrounding events–they had little idea that Spike is a secret global reporter (smile).
We walked a little further; we nabbed a shot of the White House, the Washington monument and the events in the backdrop. We saw a few of Spike’s fellow little patriotic mates and then Spike gave me his infamous look and stance: Can we go already? Why not? Spike left his paw-print once again, so home, we went!
